Frequently Asked Questions
Aircon Rescue provides onsite measurement and installation services in North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Vancouver, Burnaby, Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westminster, and North Surrey only.
We do not offer shipping. All of our custom acrylic AC panels are measured, manufactured, and installed locally to ensure a proper fit and professional installation.
A: Unfortunately, no. Our AC Panel system is designed specifically for outward-opening casement and awning windows, as well as sliding windows and sliding patio doors.
At this time, we do not have a safe or effective solution for windows that open inward. Because of the way these windows operate, our panels cannot be installed securely or provide a proper seal.
If you’re unsure what type of window you have, feel free to send us a photo and we’ll be happy to confirm whether our system is compatible.
No. While many sliding patio doors are compatible with our acrylic AC panel system, not all sliding door configurations will work.
Our sliding door panels are designed to attach securely to the inside door frame on three sides. For this reason, the sliding door must operate on the inside track and provide a suitable frame surface for the panel to seal against.
Some sliding doors operate on the outside track or have frame designs that create large gaps between the panel and the door frame. In these situations, we cannot achieve a secure seal, and the installation may not perform properly.
Because sliding door designs vary significantly, we require photos during the estimate process to confirm compatibility before proceeding. If a door cannot be securely sealed and supported, we will not recommend installation.
A: No. We do not offer a warranty or guarantee on our AC Panels or the Velcro adhesive.
Because every installation is exposed to different conditions—including direct sunlight, excessive heat, portable AC performance, window type, restricted airflow, and customer operation—we cannot guarantee how the adhesive will perform in every environment. Adhesive softening or release due to overheating or environmental conditions is not considered a product defect.
The acrylic panel is also susceptible to accidental damage if dropped, struck, or handled improperly and is not covered under warranty.
Your satisfaction is important to us. If you are not satisfied with your AC Panel at the time of installation, simply advise the technician before they leave. We will remove the panel and provide a full refund of your purchase.
If Velcro adhesive failure occurs after installation, we offer a repair service starting at $55 + tax for the first window and $35 + tax for each additional window repaired during the same visit.
For more information about what can cause Velcro adhesive failure and how to help prevent it, please read our blog: AC Panel Velcro Melting: Causes, Prevention & What to Do.
We allow customers to book their own appointment time which are dependent on their city. We typically return within 2-4 business days for both the measurement and installation appointment.
Absolutely not. The panels attach using a specially designed hook and loop (Velcro) tape, which ensures a secure fit to the window frame without the need for screws, drilling, or any permanent alterations.
Our panels are designed to be removable, making them convenient during the winter or whenever you desire. However, we advise against frequent removal as the wear and tear on the Velcro may increase with each removal.
