Portable AC Adapter Systems
The connection between your portable air conditioner hose and AC window panel is often the weakest link. Many competitors simply use whatever factory-supplied hose adapters come with the air conditioner and mount them into their panels.
The problem? These adapters were never designed for that purpose. They can be difficult to attach or remove, fall out of the panel easily, and eventually and often require tape or makeshift fixes to stay in place. The result is a setup that looks messy, performs poorly, and quickly loosens over time.
At Aircon Rescue, we solved this issue by developing our own precision-fit adapter systems, engineered specifically for our acrylic AC panels. Each adapter locks securely in place, threads smoothly onto standard exhaust hoses, and can be quickly disconnected when needed — no tape, no frustration, no guesswork.
Our adapters are available for 13 cm, 15 cm, and 16 cm hoses, dual-hose AC units, and in-wall vent kits — all designed for seamless connection, professional appearance, and dependable performance in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
13/15 Hose Adapter
If your portable air conditioner uses a 13 cm (5″) or 15 cm (5.9″) exhaust hose, we’ll supply one of our complimentary Aircon Rescue adapters with your custom AC Panel. These adapters are designed to fit the two most common hose diameters — covering over 95 % of all portable AC units with round exhaust connections.
During installation, we’ll remove the factory adapter that came with your portable AC and replace it with our precision-fit Aircon Rescue adapter. It threads directly onto your existing hose and locks securely into the pre-cut opening in your acrylic panel. When needed, the adapter can be easily disconnected in seconds for storage or cleaning.
Each adapter also includes a protective mesh screen that helps prevent debris from entering the exhaust path — ensuring safe, efficient performance and a clean, professional finish.
To complete the system, every adapter comes with an Aircon Rescue sealing cap. When the hose is removed from the panel, this cap locks into the same opening, sealing the vent completely and maintaining an airtight, finished appearance when your AC is not in use.
16cm Hose Adapter
For portable air conditioners that use a 16 cm (6.3 inch) exhaust hose, Aircon Rescue offers a precision-fit adapter designed specifically for this larger size. While 16 cm hoses are uncommon — found on less than 1% of portable AC models — this adapter ensures the same secure, professional connection as our standard 13/15 cm version.
The Aircon Rescue 16 cm adapter threads directly onto your existing hose and locks neatly into the pre-cut opening of your custom acrylic AC Panel. It can be easily connected or removed in seconds, allowing for quick setup and storage.
Like all our adapters, it includes a protective mesh screen to prevent debris from entering the exhaust path and to maintain safe, efficient airflow. Whether your unit uses a standard or larger hose, we have a perfect-fitting solution to ensure reliable performance and a clean, finished look.
Dual Hose AC Adapters
Portable air conditioners with dual-hose exhaust systems require special attention when used with certain window types when connecting to an AC window panel. These systems can be more complex to install due to the need for a precise connection between the dual-hose adapter and the acrylic panel.
Most dual-hose AC models—including popular brands like Midea and Danby—come with a large oval adapter for venting. For these systems, your Aircon Rescue panel is custom-cut with an accurate oval opening that fits the manufacturer’s adapter perfectly.
We require this original adapter to complete the installation. It’s mounted securely into your acrylic AC Panel and remains attached, allowing the AC hose to connect directly for smooth airflow and reliable operation.
If your dual-hose adapter is missing or unavailable, replacement adapters can be purchased directly from Aircon Rescue to ensure proper fit and performance.
In-Wall Adapter Kit
The Aircon Rescue In-Wall Exhaust Kit is designed for customers who want a low-profile venting solution for their portable air conditioner. This system connects directly to an existing wall vent, allowing you to exhaust hot air safely outside without using a window.
To install, the existing exterior vent cap is removed and replaced with the Aircon Rescue wall plate, which mounts securely over the vent opening. A silicone gasket between the plate and wall ensures a tight, sealed fit.
The kit uses our 13/15 cm hose adapter, allowing your portable AC’s exhaust hose to connect directly to the wall plate for a clean, professional finish. When the AC is not in use, a removable cover cap seals the vent to prevent drafts, insects, or debris from entering the home.
Easy to install and remove, this setup provides a durable, year-round solution for efficient and discreet venting through your wall. These kits can be installed by Aircon Rescue technicians ($165) or can be purchased for your own DIY installation ($55). Contact us for details.
