Aircon Rescue panels work with many common modern window styles, including:

- Horizontal and vertical sliding windows
Typical requirements: a newer PVC or metal frame with a reasonably flat mounting surface around the opening. Wood or painted frames, inward-opening windows, fixed screens and some window hardware may prevent installation.
